Iggy Rob – The Humanoid Service Robot from igus®

Part No.: RBTX-IGUS-0323
Iggy Rob von igus – Der mobile Allrounder für Industrie, Service und Logistik

The approximately 1.70-meter tall Iggy Rob from igus is a versatile humanoid service robot designed to make everyday work smarter and more efficient. Equipped with two ReBeL cobot arms (each with 2 kg payload and 664 mm reach) and variable tool hands, it performs easy gripping tasks with ease.

Its mobile base, the ReBeLMove Pro, can carry up to 100 kg and navigates safely through factories, lobbies, or cafeteria, thanks to LIDAR, 3D cameras, and a stable three-point support system – operating for up to 8 hours continuously. Control is intuitive via the free igus Robot Control software with a ROS2 interface.

The robot is CE-certified and compliant with VDE 5050 – making it ideal for - industrial, service, and logistics applications.

igus iggy Rob – The low-cost humanoid robot for industry, logistics and service

Meet Iggy Rob – the versatile service robot from igus! He assists with transport tasks in factory halls, takes on reception duties with a friendly display face, or helps clear tables in the cafeteria. Thanks to LIDAR sensors, Iggy navigates reliably through industrial environments such as factories, lobbies, or cafeterias.

The two ReBeL cobot arms offer a reach of 664 mm and a payload capacity of 2 kg each. Without end effectors, the arms are ideal for simple tasks like waving or light interactions – for gripping or assembly tasks, we recommend end effectors such as grippers or vacuum pumps.

The mobile base, the ReBeL MovePro AMR, carries up to 200 kg and allows for a towing load of up to 800 kg. Its stable three-point support ensures reliable movement – however, the practical payload is limited by the arms’ restricted lifting capacity. Battery life strongly depends on the usage scenario and can drop below 8 hours during very active operation.

Software & Control

Iggy Rob is controlled across systems via ROS2. Direct integration into the igus Robot Control software (iRC) is currently not possible – only the arms can be programmed separately. Whether these programs can be executed via the overall control system depends on the specific system configuration.

Both the AMR base and the ReBeL arms offer a ROS2 interface for integration into modern robotic environments. The interface, compliant with VDE 5050, enables connection to fleet management systems but does not constitute formal approval. Any CE certification – if available – applies exclusively to the AMR component and should be verified on a case-by-case basis.
